Terms of Use & Sale

These Terms of Use and Sale govern access to and use of the HearType service. By using HearType, you unconditionally accept these terms.

1. Service Description

HearType summarizes voice messages received on WhatsApp and Telegram. Users forward or send an existing voice note and receive a structured summary first. Full transcription and filtered details are available on request.

2. Access to the Service

Access requires account creation and an active subscription (Basic, Pro, or Premium). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for any illegal purpose, to distribute harmful content, spam, or malware. HearType reserves the right to suspend any account in breach of these rules.

4. Limitation of Liability

Transcriptions are AI-generated and do not guarantee 100% accuracy. HearType shall not be held liable for any decisions made based on these transcriptions. Service availability is provided on a best-effort basis without absolute continuity guarantees.

5. Pricing & Subscriptions

HearType operates on a monthly subscription model billed via Stripe:

Basic — €1.99 / month
Pro — €3.99 / month
Premium — €7.99 / month

All prices are in euros inclusive of VAT. HearType reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Due to the digital nature of the service and AI processing costs incurred instantly, no refunds will be issued for the current billing cycle unless required by applicable law.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.

Privacy Policy

HearType is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

1. Data We Collect

When using HearType, we collect only the following:

Your email address (for account creation)
Your WhatsApp phone number (to identify your account and deliver transcriptions)
Your active subscription plan and status
Your bot language preference
Your Telegram identifier if linked, usage counters and timestamps needed to track payments and service operation

2. Audio and temporary cache

We do not archive audio files. Voice notes are processed in memory to produce summaries. Transcripts and associated metadata remain in a temporary cache for up to 24 hours for transcription and detail requests. This cache may be cleared earlier when the service restarts.

3. How We Use Your Data

Collected data is used exclusively for:

Managing your account and subscription
Operating the WhatsApp transcription service
Enforcing your daily usage quota based on your plan
Transactional communications (payment confirmations, etc.)

4. Third Parties & Sub-processors

Stripe — Secure payment processing
Supabase — Database storage
Google Gemini — AI processing of audio and text to produce summaries, transcripts and details

We do not sell or share your personal data for commercial purposes.

5. Your GDPR Rights

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data will be erased within 30 days.
