Terms of Use & Sale

These Terms of Use and Sale govern access to and use of the HearType service. By using HearType, you unconditionally accept these terms.

1. Service Description

HearType is an AI-powered voice message transcription and summarization service delivered through WhatsApp. Users send voice notes to a dedicated WhatsApp bot and instantly receive a transcription and, depending on duration, a structured summary.

2. Access to the Service

Access requires account creation and an active subscription (Basic, Pro, or Premium). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for any illegal purpose, to distribute harmful content, spam, or malware. Maison Lanteri reserves the right to suspend any account in breach of these rules.

4. Limitation of Liability

Transcriptions are AI-generated and do not guarantee 100% accuracy. Maison Lanteri shall not be held liable for any decisions made based on these transcriptions. Service availability is provided on a best-effort basis without absolute continuity guarantees.

5. Pricing & Subscriptions

HearType operates on a monthly subscription model billed via Stripe:

Basic — €1.99 / month
Pro — €3.99 / month
Premium — €7.99 / month

All prices are in euros inclusive of VAT. Maison Lanteri reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Due to the digital nature of the service and AI processing costs incurred instantly, no refunds will be issued for the current billing cycle unless required by applicable law.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nice, France.

Privacy Policy

Maison Lanteri is committed to protecting the privacy of HearType users. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

1. Data We Collect

When using HearType, we collect only the following:

Your email address (for account creation)
Your WhatsApp phone number (to identify your account and deliver transcriptions)
Your active subscription plan and status
Your bot language preference

2. What We Do NOT Store

Your voice messages are never stored. Audio files sent via WhatsApp are processed in memory to generate the transcription and summary, then immediately discarded. No audio recording is saved to any database or disk.

3. How We Use Your Data

Collected data is used exclusively for:

Managing your account and subscription
Operating the WhatsApp transcription service
Enforcing your daily usage quota based on your plan
Transactional communications (payment confirmations, etc.)

4. Third Parties & Sub-processors

Stripe — Secure payment processing
Supabase — Database storage
Google Gemini / OpenAI — AI transcription engine (audio processed on-the-fly, not stored)

We do not sell or share your personal data for commercial purposes.

5. Your GDPR Rights

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data will be erased within 30 days.
